or you could just take the entire belt out and replace it, or maybe use bleach...
might end up making it all blotchy from using bleach but at least you will know it is sanitized...

labor intensive, and annoying... easier to remove the belt from the vehicle and then clean it/them, or even more quick and easy replace it.

You could put the whole car in the washing machine. That would be better.

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: lol, if the metal where sealed with paint and stuff but it is not sealed on the inside so it would beginning rusting instantly... altho it might be easier to take the doors off and send it through a car wash... a care washing machine that is an interesting thought.

@sbseed: My only thought was to use a polyester fiber (????) compatible cleaner, other wise the chemical reactions between the cleaner and the fabric, might make the belt soft and weak....

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: yea, some fabric softeners basically chemically age the fiber by breaking it down... that is basically what fabric softeners do...

@sbseed: Chemistry is a fascinating subject..... What gets the stains out of concrete, might fuck the seat belt, and vis versa..... Some great dish washing products that clean stainless steel, ceramics and plastics, that your life does not depend upon.... Oddly enough, many products ask that you clean with warm soapy water / mild detergent....
