Hundreds of German troops and military vehicles arrive in Lithuania for drills

Around 1,000 soldiers and 320 German army vehicles arrived in Lithuania for the Griffin Storm 41 exercises.

According to media reports, the troops will be based at the Pabrade training ground near the capital, Vilnius. Joint military training operations will involve soldiers from the 7th Tank and Grenadier Brigade of the Bundeswehr and the Grand Duke Olgerdas Infantry Battalion of the Lithuanian Army. The maneuvers will last until July 23.
