Hundreds shelter in Gaza hospital amid Israeli strikes

Footage shared by the Palestinian Red Crescent shows hundreds of people, including women and children, sheltering inside Gaza’s al Quds hospital, despite Israeli orders to evacuate. For many, however, there is simply no place to evacuate to, so desperate civilians are forced to take refuge in the hospital, with Israeli strikes hitting as close as 50 meters away.

Israel ordered the evacuation of the hospital over a week ago, but staff have refused saying it would mean certain death for many patients. A doctor at al Quds told the media that they were running out of basic supplies such as gauze and paracetamol, and have no means of reliable communication after Israeli bombing cut off phone and internet connections.
