? Ignore REALITY TV style relationship advice
We’ve all seen it - Reality TV relationship drama. Tabloid-styled breakup stories. It seems to pass itself off as being the most popular “self help”. It’s fun to watch (I guess?). We watch entitled nutcases trying to have relationships and think we're "learning to avoid that dumpster fire". But, we're probably conditioning ourselves to associate a giddy pleasure (and drama) with intimacy. Like many people who can't have healthy relationships as adults because of what they were conditioned to think "love" was as a child. Put it this way; if you're always watching the WORST breakups stories, then you're never really paying attention to the lane you probably occupy. That is: the middle of the bell curve. The less extreme... and this is a MASSIVE blind spot. Think about it.
Let's discuss.
