Iguazu Falls overflow ten times the norm due to storms
After heavy rainfall, the Iguazu Falls on the border between Argentina and Brazil, have experienced an unusual increase in the water flow, up to 12,000 cubic meters per second. The normal range is between 1,200 and 1,700, officials say.
Iguazu National Park was forced to close access to the falls on Thursday, but the upper and lower courses were later restored, and visitors used the opportunity to take some picturesque selfies at the magnificent site.
The Devil's Throat viewing platform, which leads to the main waterfall, will reportedly remain closed until it's safe.
