Indian Destroyer Test-Fires Supersonic Weapon

The Indian Navy successfully test-fired the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from INS Visakhapatnam, one of the latest destroyers to join the Indian fleet.

The BrahMos missile, which was designed in collaboration with Russia, can be launched from land, air, and sea, and has a range of around 400km according to Indian media reports.

The missile was launched before the new warship reached Visakhapatnam, its port-city namesake, to take part in a presidential fleet review in the coming days
