Today I learned much about this fighter plane - how the fuselage was assembled, how the wings and their center spar, could be bolted and unbolted to make wing removal easy, and how to assemble and build the whole plane with pressed parts and rivets.
Today I also learned the starting sequence for this plane.
One of the guys I worked with ~43 years ago, flew one during WW2.... It's a historical fact more than anything.... I suppose that it's not much different to saying, "I worked with a guy who caught the bus to work every day" - except being able to FLY the plane during war time would have been very exciting and dramatic. And the bus, not so much.
