The VC/startup system is America's scheme for funding R&D. It's actually fascism lite, where you have to pitch your business idea to a board to get permission to start the business; instead of a government board, it's a venture capital firm. And, just like China puts CCP members on companies' boards to represent the CCP, companies that take VC money have VC representatives on their boards...
