Jack Black - Example how musicians want their music used

Published on 18 Jul 2021 / In Music

⁣I don't endorse most celebrities but i use this as an example of how record companies take away the original intention, limiting word of mouth spreading and people all over the world listening to music as it truly intended/ To be used, creatively used and expressed around the planet. PS notice theirs plane in planet and a net to catch us in... hmmm suspicious anyway enjoy

well they still want their royalties from the music being used, which is understandable.
but your right, they want ppl to use their music, they want ppl to do covers, i mean if it's just a straight up rip of the song and the monetization is turned on that channel, they get mad when youtube gives earned money to the person who set up that song on the channel.

and that's when youtube had to come in and make it so all the videos that do this kind of mirroring of the music that the ad revenue is sent to the artist instead of the person who stole the song to play on their channel.

however if there is no revenue being earned from said video, i think it's one of the things where it should be just fine to keep the song there. however youtube would probably remove it if that were the case.
copywrite shit is big deal in the world of music and movies or tv shows.

but there are some videos that use clips of music and make money off of something else being presented to the viewer and these copywrite cunts will come in and throw a copywrite strike on the channel because their music was used too much on said video, even if the majority of the video had nothing really to do with the music in the first place.

one of my favorite youtubers did mod reviews on skyrim and fallout 4 and he got in trouble because he used a song that came from the game itself while doing his reviews and the companies that the music belonged to striked his channel because he was using that music without having the license to use that music clip in the first place.

like it's complete shit, but that's the reality, but you don't see any other industry getting mad because you used their program to upload said video on youtube getting bent out of shape and demanding royalties because you used their shit to make said video. can you imagine if the very tech in your cell phone worked like this? or your pc, can you imagine having to pay every time you create something with your own blood sweat and tears, only for Microsoft or whatever operating system to come knocking on your door demanding more from your wallet?

you already purchased their shit, and your still paying out the ass for using the shit when it was your labor that created said video and only used that software as a background thing or it only played a small part in it's creation.

the youtuber i'm talking about is called MXR mods on youtube. and he's been attacked by just as stupid ppl on the internet because he's gotten a little success on his channel, ppl love the kind of content he provides, and shitty ppl who don't like that he's making money off of their work get jealous and want to fuck with him and extort him to get some of that sweet sweet cash that he's making because of his natural talents to review the mods he does.

I have actually heard of that case and couple similar to it! Its just fear. If people knew real law, take them to court and just like fucking basic nature ,give them a bad result from a bad action then they wouldnt do it through fear. We live in a classist system and if your on the bottom of the totem pole.... your life will suck unless you get lucky with worthless paper people seem to find more important than life itself.
