John, I HATE You!

So, this is a quick video, but I just wanted to show you a real quick email I got and how it changed the way people perceive my content.

If you want to read the entire email, here it is:

John Sonmez,

I want to say a big "Fuck you John". I want to be upset with you for not being more direct about things. I want to be angry because you don't just tell us the answer. But, because of the fact that I get it now and can understand why you do what you do, I can't be angry - despite that I want to be.

Life IS a game.

In school our teachers tell us "Kids, life isn't a game and shouldn't be wasted" or some form of that. The truth it only half of that is correct. It shouldn't be wasted, but that doesn't mean it isn't a game.

It is a game of social interaction. It is a game of business mechanics. In business it is a game of who can outsmart the other. When it comes to your own company it is a game of how you can influence someone else to use their knowledge to willingly accomplish things. But at the end of the day, Every. Single. Thing. We. Do. Is all just a game.

I see why you teach the way you do. Had I never connected the dots for myself, I never would have had that "click" moment where everything just made sense. It is like watching a play from behind the curtain and understanding why everyone makes the moves that they do.

I can see that you are just guiding people along to figure out how to connect those dots themselves rather than just telling them it is a game. You are probably going to get a lot of pissed off people in the future John. You might already have.

So, while I want to be angry and say "Fuck you John", I can't. I can't because of how powerful this realization has been. It took myself 3 months of deep thought and meditation on the concept of life being a game - a game that should be taken 110% completely serious - before I fully understood it.

Now that I understand it, I am ready to go deeper. I am ready to find my path. I will find a way to master it. Although, I do believe mastering it - to the point of perfection - will always be impossible. Even if I was to learn more than every human that has ever lived before me, there is still more to learn. I believe this is what drives the Bill Gates, the Steve Jobs, and the Mark Zuckerbergs to not stop at 1 billion dollars. It drives them to continue learning and advancing because the game can never be beat, but why not stay on top?

John, I want to become your apprentice. As far as I am concerned, if you are willing to be a personal mentor to me, it can be completely private. I understand your time is valuable and I understand that if one person got that kind of treatment everyone would want that kind of treatment. I always knew you had knowledge to offer, and the material you share certainly holds a massive amount of value, but I need to dive into a deeper understanding, and I while I don't necessarily need your help to do it, it would give me a tremendous advantage that 99.9%+ of the population probably doesn't get to experience. I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that it would not be an effort wasted on your part. I am willing to go down whatever path you believe is necessary for me to learn.

Thank You. Thank you from the deepest part of my heart. Whether you agree to my request or not, I owe you an unlimited amount of gratitude for helping me figure this out.

Forever changed,"

Nothing more here.

Take care,
