Locals in Kamchatka help beached white whales return to sea
In the northwestern Kamchatka, four local men, who arrived there to fish, found a family of white beluga whales washed upon the shore. The whales were in distress and crying, but the men helped them to hold on until the tide returned by watering the creatures and keeping them as safe as possible.
One of the rescuers believes that the whales were chasing after fish, but missed their chance to return before the low tide. Luckily, the story ended happily with the white whales returning to the ocean safely.
