COMMENT: The human need to belong and ''fit in' is universal and lifelong. This need is especially intense in young people and causes them to introspect themselves in order to find resolutions and solutions to this transitory dilema. This period of development is exploited by our social monsters. Michael Beck makes a good argument and avoids the moral judgements and political perspectives which I have introduced to the message. I think that the young undergoing this self examination should be allowed to just go through this "life phase" and not make any life-altering choices before the age of 21.
