Man arrested after bizarre Australian shopping mall brawl

Two men started brawling in a shopping mall in Australia, and it was all downhill from there. Mostly because they were brawling on an escalator descending towards a parking lot. What was said, or what had sparked the fight, why it took place next to a shopping cart full of toilet paper, why one of the men had his sweater pulled over his head like Beavis, and why it involved a hammer, are not yet known. What we do know is that this was not the kind of thing you expect to see at 10:15am, not even in Australia.

The brawl broke out at the Lake Haven Centre in New South Wales on Sunday morning, according to police, between a man in his 30s and a man in his 50s. Police later arrested a 36-year-old man, presumably the one incapacitated by his own clothing, and charged him with affray and being armed with intent to commit an indictable offense. It is unclear if the man in his 50s successfully recovered his hat.
