The humble cassette tape.
This comes from a time when the materials used for the magnetic media coating the tapes, the material the tapes were made from, and the way the magnetic materials were bonded to the tape, were being developed in leaps and bound - along with the reading and recording heads of the cassette playing recording machines.
The magnetisable materials were getting higher magnetic strenghts, the tapes were getting stronger and more resistant to stretching and breaking, and the bonding of the magnetic material onto the tape, was getting better and very resistant to being rubbed and or worn off.
Hence the main thrust of this add, was that even after 500 plays, the tape quality, and thus the played back audio quality was "brilliant" and "as good as new".
If I take the time to explain it - then you can understand it.
