This is actually a fine example of what the west has been doing around the world.. Using Alliance and empire to expand.. ITS WESTERN EXPANSION INTO UKRAINE is what it is.. EVRYONE KNOWS THE UKRAINE IS NOT PART OF THE EUROPEAN UNION OR NATO.. SO WHO IS EXPANDING??

So, again,, it is my belief that Igor doesnt like russia for some reason.. and that is tainting his opinion. but has Igor ever been to America?? penniless?? well, a house is 250,000 dollars.. and to use a 30 year mortgage to buy one can cost you another 500,000 in INTEREST.. so that 250,000 house will cost you 750,000 over 30 years.. of course your houses value may increase to 290,000 over that 30 years and will need much remodel work after 30 years.. you may not succeed.. but you will work if you want any kind of life at all.. just sayin.

When you make your first mortgage payment and it is 1350 a moth and 70 of it goes towards the 250,000 loan and 1280 of it goes to interest.. half way through your 30 year term you still owe substantially more than half of the 250,000... and nobody talks about it..

While you are making your monthly mortgage payment you are required to pay property taxes to the county that your house is in.. AAAAAND! homeownerfs insurance..

now America doesnt really produce anything anymoere.. it's mostly just financial and services.. and stores.. we have an unsustainable economy.. They will give you credit cards once you have held a job for a year or so.. that will enable you to buy some things before you have the money but the interest will be very high on those purchases..

that isw why I made principal payments on my mortgage on top of my monthly payment to have interest free payment of my principal.. I was making much money.. and paid my house off 21 years early..

and glad I did because they ruined the economy here with immigrants and easy credit.. which caused rampant mortgage failures.. but that is the only way the immigrants could get established and have anything at all.. was basically free money.. which has only happened that time. post 9/11 with the payment option arms ,, appreciation and refinancing the appreciation out,, increasing their mortgage debt not paying it off. a gift from my govt and banks to these foreigners looking to take our work from us for less money..

Unfortunately there was no such agreed. At most there might have been a verbal agreement with the still existing Soviet Union over nato troops in the former east germany but not much more than that, but the Soviet Union collapsed. NATO also didn’t intentionally expand east, countries in the east merely asked to join and all nato did was accept them, and because of 9/11 and Iraq russia was no longer an a real priority in terms of foreign policy. There were even some small discussions of accepting Russia itself into nato but that never materialized. The thing is that the buffer zone Russia wanted was already there until 2022, Finland and Sweden didn’t want to join nato and they wouldn’t have joined nato if it was not for Russia attacking Ukraine. And the thing is Cuba and Venezuela are already pro eastern proxies close to America, at most America stopped Cuba from getting nukes but that’s it. If Russia seriously wanted its buffer zone it should have actually asked for a deal in writing and should have also respected the Budapest memorandum in which they and the US disarmed Ukraine of nukes.

@jim bennett: The problem is that Russia thinks not only the territory of the Russian federation is Russian territory but they think the entirety of Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and the Baltic states should belong to them. And I am not convinced if they will just stop there. Obviously I do not want to live under Russia and I don’t like dubious wars, considering that russia already had crimea and much of the Donbas permanently rendering Ukraine ineligible from joining nato.

What are my interests here? The war in Ukraine to end as fast as possible, Russian advance halted, ceasefire signed, Ukraine keeps whatever territory it still has with a more neutral foreign policy (they were already officially neutral they just didn’t like Russia) and for trade that has been cut since early 2022 resuming, especially given that Ukrainian grain is basically no longer there and Russian grain being sanctioned to hell. Essentially a preferred return to the status quo the way it was before 2022s “special military operation”. I don’t seek to permanently destroy Russia but i do not like this war either and want a return to peace

@jim bennett: in countries that have agreed to let these bases there, though this appears to have been downsizing recently. Guantanamo bay should still be downsized further considering cuban doesn’t want them there and Cuba should have right to its sovereign territory.

@jim bennett: America didn’t put nukes in Ukraine and America didn’t have plans to put nukes in Ukraine. At the time of Ukrainian independence Ukraine already had nukes but America and Russia pressured Ukraine to give those up and hand these nukes over to Russia in the Budapest memorandum, in return for security guarantees and guarantees that its territorial integrity would be respected, something which did not happen in 2014 and later due to the Russian seizure of crimea and propping up of rebel republics in the east of Ukraine. And even then this seizure of Ukraine was enough to prevent nato membership as nato will not accept countries with rebellions or disputed territories, and if this was about nato we would have seen something be done regarding Finland and swedens recent membership of nato but apparently Russia did nothing, even though finlands membership could have easily blocked Saint Petersburg in the event of a ww3, this is why I have doubts in putins excuses used to justify this war.
