Migrants clash with police at Peru-Chile border

Clashes broke out between migrants and Peruvian police in the Tacna border region with Chile. Dozens of migrants blocked a road with garbage, preventing the passage of vehicles going to and from Chile, in protest at not being allowed by Peruvian authorities to enter the country.

The mostly Venezuelan migrants were seeking to cross into Peru to continue on to their home country, but Peruvian authorities were denying them entry because of what they said was a lack documents.
