‘My staff tells me what I can’t do’ – Biden

Joe Biden has been a major force in politics for the last several centuries, so you would expect he would have known what being president would entail. Apparently, Biden thought he was going to be in charge of things. Apparently, Biden is not in charge of things. Seems like something you wouldn’t want to say out loud if you were supposed to be in charge of things.

Biden has been something of a no show recently when it comes to… governing, making only a brief appearance at the Quad summit (held near his Delaware vacation home) to forget who Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is. But, Joe is back in the White House, doing important things like… having dinner with last year’s National Women’s Soccer League champions. There, in an attempt to be inspiring and tell the ladies of Gotham Football Club that they can do anything if they just put their mind to it (wonderful advice to give someone after they’ve already won the championship), Biden accidentally said the quiet part out loud again, as he does. ‘I thought when I got to be president, I’d get to do things that I wanted to do, but my staff tells me what I can't do.’

Examples of things they tell him he can’t do: walk off stage for no reason, fall over, fall up the Air Force One stairs, open another Ukrainian bank account, or sniff that child. Fortunately, thanks to his government, he may one day be able to play in a women’s soccer team. Get your studs on Joe, you’d make a great left winger.
