Mystery fog turns out to be exploding gas
When a strange fog descended over the sleepy mountain county of Pyeongchang, South Korea, the eerie spectacle delighted and confused the locals. That is right up until it exploded. The fog turned out to be a leak of liquified petroleum gas, or LPG, which seeped out over the town of Jangpyeong-ri from a local gas station and somehow ignited. 14 buildings and several cars were damaged from the explosion, which took a team of firefighters several hours to extinguish. Amazingly, nobody was killed, although two people sustained severe burns, three others were injured, and 25 had to be evacuated.
