@Grims Dungeon Of Degeneracy: Cracks me up what people will do to monetize mods and avoid getting a real job. Pirate it. I mean really this is just like the Fallout mod cash shop. Trying to monetize everything in the world that used to be freeware because it's digital content. Lazy as F. I mod games and don't expect any money for my hobby. It's not productive, it's leisure.
@Toki: That's not what this is. Carabdis made this with HS models, but the game is still made in Renpy, just like all the others. There are several AVN's being made with HS, more than you're aware of. It isn't "modding." They're still using all of this to tell a story and it requires some outside programming with minigames and such. Remember, the second game from this dev (Eternum) won overall best AVN this year at the AVN Awards which were voted on by the AVNCommunity reddit. Eternum fans came in full force. Yes, the game can be supported on Patreon, but it's a totally free download. And the fans are quite rabid. They came out in droves just to vote for Eternum. Additionally, Eternum is one of the highest rated AVN's on Visual Novel Database.
@Grims Dungeon Of Degeneracy: Yet who's going to do the real work in real life? While everyone wants welfare for their vacation hobbies? Don't tell me you paid for this? HS is the source and it's 10000% better anyways. In HS they move around and talk. This is just a still animation talking sim. Then Illusion Game studios shut down because everyone just uses their products to monetize their own projects using other free software. I don't care if the big film, gaming, and music industry fail. But seeing Illusion fail sucks. Tough to sell your game when a million other people have ripped the assets and are selling them on Paytreon. Normally I don't care about a business but this company was creating something unique.
@Toki: Carabdis is a very rare case for these, and no - I don't like HS because I prefer the visual novels and the story told. HS is just a sex simulator and those are boring to me. Many creators are making games with these assets, but they are not to the level of quality that Carabdis is doing. Eternum is the best and the guy just got lucky. Not everyone is going to come out with the same results that he had. Nope, I didn't pay for this because it is free. And a lot more than just ripping HS sprites was used in Eternum. This game was his first and it's still a bit raw - Eternum is where things started to get good. And no matter whose models you are using, ripping, etc - you still have to tell a good story. Illusion haven't put out a good game in years. That's why they went under the first time. After HS and Koikatsu, there wasn't anything to follow them up. The other games just went nowhere. Even Honey Come Come Party failed to catch people's interests. This is a publisher who also got lucky with their HS and Koikatsu engines, which like Skyrim are being used more for engines themselves than actual games. If the story wasn't appealing here, I wouldn't be reading it - and it is. Gets even better later on.
@Toki: Also, no. Illusion was not creating something unique. 3D Sexvilla came first and there was a hack called The Klub 17. Still used today. It is just like HS. You created the girl from top to bottom and then you had sex with her in a bunch of positions, many that you could download off the forums. Before the card system, you would just download the models and put them in the folder. This existed well over a decade before HS/Koikatsu were even a thing. HS is just a suped up Japanese version of Sexvilla. And the creator of Fetish Locator is now making his own game in that same style.

Illusion game models? Sure looks like it. Is this one of those game created with Illusion and then sold as another product?
