This sounds like it has CIA, MK Ultra, and DARPA written all over it. If all of a sudden it gets sealed up tight because of "National Security" then it's a sure bet. (See 1947 National Security Act) A lot of musicians from the 1970's were used to transport drugs for CIA cover from Barbara Mandrell, to Charlie Pride, to Jimmy Buffet. Read "Access Denied For Reasons of National Security" by Cathy O'Brien and Mark Phillips.
That's the nature of the entertainment industry and it is an industry just like the poverty industry. It's also called the culture creation industry for a reason.
