Pakistani FM calls for West to lift sanctions on Afghanistan

As millions of people are facing hunger in Afghanistan, Pakistan's foreign minister has urged Western countries to lift sanctions on the country. The UN has also repeatedly called for aid for Afghanistan, while warning of a looming humanitarian disaster, with more than half of the country's population of 40 million people said to be on the verge of famine.
