Interesting. I knew of Pan, well the womanizer Pan. I did not think about the seduction and taking of Lucy I believe it was in Chronicles of Narnia: the first one I believe: The Witch, The Lion, and The Wardrobe. It would make sense why it went dark, but Thomas seemed to indicate it was the White (Ice) Witch...
Yes, during the Middle Ages, many Europeans identified Satan as Pan. I think that was just priest projecting the "player" or "hook-up" culture as bad upon ancient Roman imagery remember much of Rome as a city survived well past the Romans and their empire. Europeans lived in them likely hundreds of years and Pan was used decoratively.
So, you think the Peter Pan writer was effing the boys or one of them. I liked how they displayed Johny Depp observing them writing in his notebooks. As a writer,I can see hoe this was innocent as an attempt to capture or copy innocence the way Depp's character put boys across the theater personified that boyish innocence he was capturing. The never consummated marriage-- I wonder if he was gay, but the way his mom treated likely fucked him causing him to fear women and their pusdies. I would be interested to know if the Widow mother successfully seduced him. I did the scene where he tells Peter: I don't know how or when Peter, but you are no longer a kid...perhaps, he just finished on him!? Good scene though perversions aside or even whatever worse fate.
To top it off, I am not sure you are wrong or if you are right, but let's say it this way. I think vampires are real, and I think two "versions" of them were merged together. I think old, rich bastards do collect youthful blood to put in themselves to benefit from their messages chemicals and neurotransmitters in the blood. Also, there is a disease linked to an interrupted enzymatic cascade chain in the production of hemoglobin. Because of this enzyme lacking, I seen a cell biologist put it into zebra fish, clear zebra fish, to study its effect. Interesting, human patients with it bleeds in sunlight, not quite the burning fire though...
