Protesters clash with police at rally against EU migration policy in Athens

Clashes erupted as thousands of protesters took to the streets of Athens, a day after at least 78 migrants died in a boat disaster off the Greek coast in Pylos.

Protesters held banners displaying messages such as ‘System that murders’ and ‘If they had golden visas, they would have come’, demanding the relaxation of European Union migration policy.
