Protesters clash with riot police as govt buildings stormed by angry crowds

Dozens of police and soldiers entered government buildings in Brasilia as supporters of Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro stormed the country’s National Congress, Supreme Court and presidential palace. Three hours after the breach, security forces appeared to have regained control of the buildings. At least 300 people were detained, and the justice minister warned that the arrests would continue, as the authorities try to identify everyone involved in what he dubbed an attempted coup.
