Push back against 15 minute cities

The town where I live in East Berkshiure UK they spent million's on removing parking and addinf pedestrian areas ans covering it over with shoe box flat's. I've been their about 5 times since it opened 5 years ago. IOty is Dead even on a saturday usually the day I would if I needed to visit would be the day, but the town center is DEAD, Emnp[ty and full of overpriced branded cporporate outlet's. In fact the whoile town center is keyed to Female needs with coffee shops and pavement bar's which i thought under street funature restricvtions was not allowed. This 15 min city thing also falls down because where I live the whole town is now surrounded by hoiusing estates, NON of which like the older estates have Shop's or dentist's and doctor's. and to do a weekly shop for a family I would suggest requires a CAR. I do use the infrequent buses but I will go with my bus pass to another more establisdhed closed town precinct in Suyrrey just over the county border, where they have everything. currently as well I will hop on my motorcycle and go and shop at local faqrm shops and outlet's getting REAL food and not the plastic shiter we are expected to eat. I have the advantage of being alone so the extra cost of natural produce is well worth the cost. This will all fail big time and I already myseklf have idea's Ive been trying out successfully where I can drive or ride where I like and the camera's are fooled! lol! Itr i s so simple and full proof I'm not even going to say what it is! As for electric Buses/ i would suggest to councils "NOT" to buy thwe Chiunese BYD buses as they are reknowned for bursting into flames, Also EV buses will be a cold ride in winter because as Aberdeen found out for an EV buse to do a day's survice on a charge they cant use the buses heating or AC because it drains to much power from the batteries and a bus CANNOT complete a daily service schedule. EV bicycles are a waste of money because you can go faster and it cost's nothing on a basic Bicycle if people learned how to use the gears properly. I Cycle and use the derailer gears as a gearbox like on my motorcycle and can overtake EV bikes easilty! lol! and I'm 67 years old!
