Robotic exoskeleton helps disabled children take their first steps

The Association for People with Cerebral Palsy (APAC) in Mexico City has developed a ground-breaking robotic exoskeleton to assist young patients in taking their first steps.

The Atlas 2030 device, the first of its type in Mexico, offers one-hour therapeutic sessions. The mechanical, motorized suit adjusts to the action of individual children, which helps to build muscles, as well as enhance digestion and respiration.
