An accident occurred in the morning hours of March 2 in San Mateo, Peru. According to local authorities, an avalanche of giant rocks fell on two trucks that were traveling on the main road. The impact left both vehicles split in half and completely destroyed.

The fall was recorded at kilometer 97 of the central highway of the San Mateo district, which makes up the province of Huarochirí, in Peru.or. The landslide occurred due to the persistent heavy rains that have been recorded in the area, the country's authorities report.

According to videos circulating on social networks, at first, a tanker trailer was completely destroyed after the impact of the heavy rocks. The tires were destroyed and the vehicle split into two parts.

The second rock that fell broke the track and the large amount of dirt and sand that fell ended up obstructing the road for four hours, which, according to sector authorities, generated traffic congestion.
