Russia turns US-made HIMARS launcher into ‘crater’ – MoD

Russian forces have destroyed a US-made HIMARS missile launcher in Ukraine’s Sumy Region using an Iskander missile, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. Video footage released by the ministry shows a drone tracking several vehicles, which stopped at a large building. Moments later, the building was hit by a missile, causing a powerful explosion. The strike, which took place in the village of Shaposhnikovo, reportedly left only a crater. Sumy Region, near the Russian border, has been a focus of recent military activity, having been used to launch Ukraine’s attempted incursion into the neighboring Kursk region, in an attempt to claim Russian territory.
