Russian drones obliterate advanced German-made Leopard 2A5 tank

Russian forces have destroyed a German-made Leopard 2A5 tank, one of the newer and more advanced tanks at Ukraine’s disposal. The tank was being used in Russia’s Kursk Region during Ukraine’s ongoing incursion attempt. Footage shared by the Northern Wind Telegram channel showed the tank being hit by multiple kamikaze drones, with one strike causing a massive fire in the turret, and yet more damage from a second drone. If confirmed it is indeed the 2A5 variant, this would mark the destruction of one of the most advanced Western-supplied tanks in the conflict to date. The destruction of the Leopard marks the continuation of significant losses for Ukrainian forces, with the Russian Defense Ministry reporting over 500 Ukrainian casualties in the same region in the preceding 24 hours.
