Russian military destroys two US-made HIMARS MLRS

The Russian military has destroyed two US-made multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) operated by the Ukrainian military. The HIMARS units, which were operating in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), were destroyed by a missile strike along with their ammunition caches, according to Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov in a briefing on Wednesday. In addition to the MLRS, a radar station for guiding anti-aircraft missiles, also used as a temporary deployment point for foreign mercenaries, was destroyed.

Four M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, or HIMARS, were supplied to Ukraine by the US in mid-June.
