Scholz visits India as Western powers seek backing for its opposition to Moscow

The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is visiting India, where he has met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He had previously stated that the main purpose of his trip was to deepen co-operation between the two countries. However, German officials made several attempts to blame the world's problems on Moscow, but stopped short of directly saying that India should cut relations with Russia.
