Senator Bill Heffernan - Australian Judge says sex with children or incest should be legal

I studied law in Australia and I worked in law after Senator Heffernan gave this speech. The entire industry is in tatters. It was made abundantly clear that identity politics is above _everything_. If you beat a child as a woman… it’s a free pass.
My instruction in law included statements like “I don’t ever want to see any white males … ever”. You couldn’t go much further than that to destroy the very fabric of the legal institution.

Let’s look at what policies have been created and nurtured by Australia’s governments.

Australia's government has spent more than FIFTY years bullying boys in education due to their inherent "white male" privilege (mostly teachers).
I have raised this since 2019. The government have declined to act. The Prime Minister's office deleted the policy document plus my "wayback machine" backup of this document after I asked them to investigate.
generalisations about boys include: violent, abusive, poor communicators, primarily interested in sport, etc.
These attitudes are ubiquitous in the government. Such prejudiced beliefs permeate the government workplace too. I’m ex-government management.

More “public humiliation rituals”. See my letter to a school re: mandatory, non-parent approved Domestic Violence training for boys only. 800 groups of boys were publicly humiliated, even as victims of violence where they were powerless against the abusers (boys attacked by mothers). This was written to avoid one such public humiliation, but, was declined.

If I understand correctly, the mindset in law is “it’s the patriarchy and anything we need to do to course correct the law .. we will”.

The BAR is a complete joke. The concept of “equality before the law” is so dead and buried that anyone with their eyes open could not have faith in the institution any longer.

I’m working on a piece at the moment covering our constitution, the law, and, focusing in on the high court. It will NOT be kind.

If I find one member of the BAR who I believe understands the simplest legal principles and upholds them and they agree to it, I will sing their praises. That’s how bad things are.

Do I disagree with Senator Heffernan? No.
For the record, I was one of the highest performing students in law … so why did I walk away from law? A toxic hate culture … and it was made abundantly clear to me that my identity was targeted. Not me as an individual… my identity.

The Equal Opportunity Commissioner speaks of “restitution for past injustices” which simply means “revenge against entire groups of people if somebody believes there was an historical imbalance”. Our absolute gendered stance on domestic violence would be one such “restitution”.

The legal industry is tanking hard.
