Should I Specialize in C#?

C# is definitely one of the strongest programming languages in the software development world nowadays.

According to Wikipedia, C# is a multi-paradigm programming language encompassing strong typing, imperative, declarative, functional, generic, object-oriented (class-based), and component-oriented programming disciplines. It was developed by Microsoft within its .NET initiative and later approved as a standard by Ecma (ECMA-334) and ISO (ISO/IEC 23270:2006). C# is one of the programming languages designed for the Common Language Infrastructure.

There are a lot of different things that should be taken into account when it comes to choosing a programming language to specialize in. For example, what the future holds for that specific language, the financial return you should be able to get with that particular programming language, etc.

When it comes to C#, there are also other elements that should be taken into account, such as the facility to learn - for example, are these good c# tutorials on the internet that might be able to help?

So, among a lot of different programming languages, should you specialize in C#? Is C# a good choice when it comes to becoming a specialist? What will be the future of C#? Is it going to be a strong programming language in the future?

In this episode, I talk about specializing in C#.
