Very good info. As far as electric vehicles, they will never achieve the versatility of combustion vehicles. They do have a niche, such as city delivery or cabs or short commutes. The problem is charge times. It should be gently charged overnight. Advocates talk about fast chargers, but battery fatigue happens much, much faster with fast charging. The laws of physics are what they are. The notion that gas cars can be replaced by electric is not possible. If all gas cars were swapped for electric tomorrow and everyone drove the same average miles, every watt of electricity produced in the US would have to be devoted to charging them. Even that would not be enough. It would take 23 new nuclear power plants to meet the demand. Remember that's just for the cars. No other electric devices are factored in.
Seems like the ultimate goal is to restrict peoples ability to move freely and quickly where they want to go. They already killed private aviation in the 1970's with regulation and insurance costs.
No thanks. I will keep driving my 1984 Ford F-250. $6.68 Personal Property Tax a year. $330 Insurance a year. I have excess cash that I can invest. My investment's averaged 6.9% last year.
