South Korea launches first self-driving shuttle
Seoul has launched its first-ever self-driven shuttle bus, as part of a city-wide driverless vehicle trial. Footage shows intrepid passengers enjoying a leisurely ride around the capital, seemingly unconcerned by the blank space usually occupied by the driver.
The trial is intended to acclimatize the public to this emerging technology, and it’s hoped that the more locals get used to seeing the driverless bus complete its 3.4km circuit, the more they will be comfortable with self-driving vehicles becoming a permanent fixture of the city’s public transport.
