Technological and societal limitations have been removed as we advance. The internet, especially social media, exposed more people to more people. It's easier to see more wahmyn expressing their nature. IG, TT, OF, .... It is out in the open. Thankfully it also helps enable the communities we've built online to attempt to educate and support men through these trying times.
