6:15 - Actually single mothers are VERY inclined to tell their kids no, and their sons in particular. What fathers do is direct the boy's activities; instead of "don't do X" they (more often than women) say "do A, B, and C" to demonstrate the good instead of putting the bad down. Fathers LEAD while mothers MANAGE, particularly dealing with sons.
