Stupids of Australia - New Spirit of Tasmania ferries may be secondhand by the time they arrive

Why is the upgraded ferry service so important.

I sort of forget.... but the current fleet is OLD and under capacity...... More people and freight services want to use it, than there are places available.

If Australia is the Arse End of the Universe, then Tasmania is it's Arsehole.

Beyond that - is nothing but thousands of miles of freezing cold, really stormy ocean and then the South Pole - being nothing more than a shit ton of ice that goes on for ever.

So when the Ferry Services from the Main Land ( Australia big bit ) to Tasmania ( little bit ) are compromised and or not happening - it restricts the amount of goods that can travel each way - on trucks, and the tourists as well as residents of Tasmania etc., can't take themselves and their cars anywhere - I think from memory, the current fleet is booked out like 6 to 9 months ahead.......

So when the project gets fucked up - by a factor of years, EVERYONE gets really upset......
