Female cops are worse than useless. They are a l liability to other cops.
They need to stop this. You walk into a situation like this and you don't know the people involved. She is lucky she didn't get killed. The police force, society, culture, etc needs to stop this, if you are an average woman going up against a man that thinks he may be getting put away for a long time and he's decided to try to get away a female officer is not going to be able to subdue them. Female officers are useless in a confrontation like this, even if you send them in pairs.
Not sure I'd call this guy a "suspect", yet. Looked like he was leaving, and his ex tried to have him locked up... for what? For all we know, he had enough of her crap, gathered his belongings, and was leaving. No questions, no investigation; just (attempt to) cuff the guy. As usual, would love to know "the rest of the story" (Paul Harvey).
If only MORE of the men in Australia also reached this conclusion, when a "diversity hire" comes knocking on their doors.
