get yourself some solar panels and a generator and start creating your own hydrogen gas, and at least you will get your energy costs to come down to zero, sure the solar panels and the tubing and the tanks will cost you, but they are like a one time payment for a lifetime gas producing operation.

I think his use of Luke 22:36 is being taken out of context. I am no scholar, and others I've looked into talking about this make some very important points about what Jesus was saying (and in this case he rebuked Peter not long after for using a sword to defend Jesus before healing his captor to fulfill is role on the cross).

As for what RPM said about it's never too late to prepare, I disagree, but only technically. I think the time for preparation was during the Trump admin pre-lockdown. At this point it's not prepping as much as it is cushioning against the blow. Seat belts are meant to work before a crash, not during or after.

If you aren't living in an isolated community that can supply its own food, water, medical care and defenses then you aren't prepared. So very very few of us are prepared. The best we can hope for is to have enough food and ammo to ride out a short-term upheaval.

@FL_Steve: I think there will be a lot of ad hoc groups emerging, kind of like gangs mashed up with Mad Max. Won't be pretty, but people gravitate, usually into like minded groups. This happened during Katrina/Rita with the police, for example. It will be a jungle though, and anyone on their own will be routed out, either to be robbed or burned down when resisting robbery.

Seems clear to me,, borders, deportations.. and money.. The rich people do not need bigger houses.. The working people need more money.. so deport the foreign workers already..
