I was hoping that this video would be what the title said: Your life is actually amazing. And The Great Gaslighting part would be everyone trying to tell us that our lives are terrible because we're not on their level. Stardusk, do you remember the Beggar Prince in Elder Scrolls lore? He was given the gifts of pity and disregard by the daedric prince, Namira, after begging at her feet for 33 days. He was "cursed" by her with an always visible disease that would make him repulsive, but also move men to pity. The Beggar Prince eventually became just that: a prince among beggars, wealthy and knowing all the secrets of the city. The gifts of physical beauty and more money than sense absolutely have crippling downsides. Every hand that we're dealt in life is a two-edged sword.

Yep. Myths and fairy tales display this with both a curse and a blessing... together. The curse was the cost of the blessing... kind of like love... it was a warning or red flags in the fairy tales.
