As I continue to go through the comments of my videos, another topic that I have seen a large amount of interest in is the subject of terrestrial crocodiles. This was all in reaction to one comment I made about them that has been viewed with anything to fascination to horror at the very idea of a "land croc"
The thing is, not only have land crocs been a thing once in the distant past, but it is a phenomenon that has existed several separate times in the 250 million years that crocodilians have been around! So I decided to make a video covering their history to act as kind of a fill in for my History of the Earth series. Because even though some of these animals might be mentioned along the way in those videos, there is no way that I will be able to cover them in as much detail as I can in a dedicated video.
Also this is going to be the first Paleo Analysis 2 parter! With my next video covering the most recent land crocs that have existed on Earth, the Australian Mekosuchids!

Thanks. Very Interesting. :)
I have never thought of the evolution of the Land Crocodiles - into other things... etc.
