guess these idiots do not realize that fungi have such a short lifespan that they instantly replace themselves if destroyed, they come right back.... they release trillions of microscopic spores, just one fungi growth, so they are in no danger of going extinct... stupid idiots trying to push more globohomo nonsense.
Maybe they are such a niche organism, in a highly specialised environment - that if it's fucked with, too much by too many people - they go extinct in that area.
And some fun guys - perhaps the plants might have a finite life, and if everyone is coming into that area, where they are growing and is picking them before they mature and spore... then that plant dies out and the seeds are never planted.... Multiply that by 10,000 times in a small area and over many decades... and in the end.... they are all gone. Also while the fun guys - that breed, are dropping zillions of spores, you don't see zillions of the spores making it into plants, and then of those that do, not many of them --- get to maturity, and of those that get to maturity - not all of them get to seed...... so the balance between keeping going and going extinct - is not a huge margin......
