ya this was kind of a bizarre take by tfm. war is war. once you cross that line, the game is on. to act like russian civilians arent fair game is pretty naive and inconsistent. i personally prefer it when people make more effort to just call balls and strikes as they are, but i guess tfm never promised that he was neutral in all things.

@Lady Dimis Husbando: I would have had zero issue with the US/EU overthrowing the corrupt Russian-backed Ukrainian regime and installing their own corrupt Western-backed Ukrainian regime IF they had the capacity to do it successfully and without bloodshed. The problem is that they clearly weren't capable of doing that. Instead they were willing to let Ukraine be destroyed while impoverishing the West and gambling with nuclear war. People with power exercise that power to their benefit. What I expect from the West is checks on that power so that greedy incompetents can't make graveyards of countries while selling out their own citizens.

@Darthtickles: You are aware that the current regime in Ukraine is corrupt and installed by the West & Ukrainian Oligarchs (also pro West). IMHO, it would have been best if the West would have stayed out of the former Eastern block entirely, but they could leave their paws to themselves. If one thinks Russia is evil, well look at the US and others, they are equally evil. I just keep myself updated watching The Duran here and there. @Crunshy Numbers: yes, but they couldnt do it successfully or without war, as i said. the west successfully and (relatively) bloodlessly installs governments all the time. i dont think we should, but its our prerogative to do so. what we shouldn't be doing under any circumstances, however, is failing in our installation, destroying our target country and creating even greater risks and costs to ourselves through the resulting instability. all morality aside, it's the dangerous incompetence that i really care about.
