Saying that there was leftism before women voted ignores the fact that men spent the last 150 years learning from the mistakes of leftism.

You can actually sympathize with the new urban worker class falling for Utopian nonsense well into the 1900s because they simply didn't know better. Why shouldn't communism, big government, tax and spend, etc work? It makes perfectly good sense from our basic understanding of social relationships.

Contemporary economics and decentralized government represent centuries of hard-learned lessons about what works and what doesn't.

This is an interesting discussion about where the power and the problems really lie.

I never liked the term 'Cathedral'. It is far too broad and indistinct. Also Yarvin having any intellectual authority was from 10 years ago when there were few voices outside the enormous middle-ground of 90s, 00s and 10s politics. Now with tons of competent anti-establishment voices, Yarvin comes off as a clown.

'Deep State' or 'Permanent Washington' is a good base term. The issue definitely lies in the power of the unelected bureaucracy of the West, but it does also extend to academia, media, NGOs, etc, and people move between these different institutions seamlessly.

I think more than anything it is a culture: feminized and out of touch progressivism, consumerism and pseudo-intellectualism.

This is why I think the avenue to fight back is cultural. The promotion of masculine stoicism, self-control, self-critical reflection, self-improvement goes against the indulgent, self-deluding liberal faggotry of the establishment.

Marry this masculine individualism with the promotion of the family and community as an extension of men (I care for my family and community because it is a reflection of me as a man), and you have a simple message that directly counters both the power of establishment culture and the aspects that make is to repulsive to men.

The simple message is fix your shit, fix your family, fix your community and then vastly reduce the scope of the state. The other tendrils of the establishment will wither and die if you gradually dismantle the state by 50% to 90%.
