It's a very rich sound scape of dynamics and devices.....

It's even more interesting when the wagons are rolling past in in the absolute pitch black of a star light only night, obscured by cloud cover, and the wagons are passing arms length away, and you can't tell if it's the wagons in front of you or the wagons behind you - and your standing on the ballast, between the tracks, between the two grain wagon trains...

It gets very interesting then.

Don't sneeze, fart, flinch, scratch your nose or fall over... just stand there for what seems like an endless eternity..... Just like a wooden power pole... No movement.

Trains don't care about people's health and/or well being. Subways, the same. Had some hair raising moments taking strolls through the TTC tunnels, way back when I thought that was a good idea. I have changed my mind on that.

Yes - a few thousand tons of potential death rolling past the end of your nose = disconcerting.

@Life_N_Times_of_Shane_T_Hanson: Indeed. Posted a nice tune for you. Catchy little number called: Trains.

@Drums_McBashington: I bet you found yourself in tunnels with the trains coming, and it was a tight fit, and the only places to back into were the slots in the wall that were about a foot or so deep, for the tunnel workers to escape into, every 25 yards or so...

@Drums_McBashington: It's good - kind of 1970's - 1980's rock... Very good.
