What the fuck is TFM talking about? No one was called a heretic for challenging the doctrines of the church? No one turned to religion for their moral matters? The vast majority of people turned to religion for most of their problems. Only a few philosophers and scientists didn't.

Hold on, "challenging the doctrines of the church" wasn't enough to get you branded a heretic. If I recall, you had to be actively campaigning against the church on a regular basis and refuse to stop your activities even when asked. This famously happened to Eliphas Levi. Just saying.

@RoboCat: Maybe that was the case for some periods in the past. I don't know every period of history, so I cannot comment. However, for example, during Henry the 8th rule, plenty of people were branded heretics for not fully supporting the changes the church went through. Sure, he only burnt 81 heretics throughout his 38 year rule and punished many more, it didn't take much to earn that label. I can see your point and it's fair. My main point was to point out that throughout history, the vast majority of people turned to religion for their problems and NOT philosophy.

@PlanANoGoZone: Yeah okay. I see your point about the different eras of religious orthodoxy being more/less strict in how it was enforced. Valid point.

Well, government owned crypto with negative interest and the FED existence is the main incentive to buy unregulated crypto. I think it is possible to create a parallel shadow economy that rejects the government. And then you will have anarcho capitalism right there. And if a government forbids it, a very good campaign topic would be to enable it again for the current opposition. Everyone shall have the freedom on what they pour their money into. Crypto is a tool to make the economy detach from the government. Which is a desired near future outcome considering all the corruption the world has.

Still, it is a bubble all right. You can see it just from the chart.
