It's interesting how humans are the only animals where the females are completely dependent on the males. I suppose that's because human males are pretty soft and weak compared to other animals, thus they are barely above the threshold for surviving the wilderness without using tools, and with sexual dimorphism, the females are below that threshold.
Tfm has talked about sexual dimorphism in the past, and claimed that chimps are 10% dimorphic, humans are 8%, and bonobos are 6%. That's really stupid. He was using height and weight, but wouldn't muscle mass be a better measure? Using weight, if women become so fat, that they weigh more than men, do humans become a sexually dysmorphic species in favor of the female? No, because the males would still have twice as much muscle mass. Humans are very sexually dimorphic, If you think about it. men can live independently in the wilderness, and women can't. that's something you don't see in any other species.
Using strength as a measure, humans should be 200% sexually dimorphic, not 8%.
