The reason Singapore must go to extreme measures to suppress "equality" is because women vote in Singapore. Women have political power in Singapore. If Singapore restricted voting only to certain people, then extreme measures would probably be unnecessary. Freedom of speech is a problem because stupid people vote. Stupid people are easily fooled. In countries where stupid people vote (such as Singapore), the way to stop stupid people from voting for stupid things is to make sure those stupid people do not read/hear/see anything stupid. If only smart people voted, then there would be no need to ban stupidity because smart people are not fooled by stupid ideas.
TFM, after much contemplation, I think I know the primary cause/source for the ideology of "equality".
Imagine you are Woodrow Wilson, the 19th amendment is on your desk, ready to be signed or not.
If you sign it, you can expect millions of votes from all the new voters that will be grateful you gave them voting rights.
It's a no brainer. Sign it and your party will easily win most elections for the next few decades, well past your death.
The reason the ideology of "equality" still exists today is because it wins elections and because most people are sheep and the sheep will vote for anyone who offers them "equality" (which is code word for more wealth/power for the poor/weak).
Former US senator (for California) was just robbed on the street. Better get those vans ready.
