As for the morality of heroes ask yourself two questions. How far beyond their own can a writer simulate the morality of his characters? And how far would he want to given the belief structure of his target demographic?
Speak for yourself. I only knew the XMen through the 90s cartoon, and as a kid, I hated Wolverine. He had so many qualities that I should have liked but he was such a goddamn simp for an empty shell of a woman- who was already married and had a 0% chance with at the time. And because of this, all his tough attitude in his rivalry with Cyclops just made him look like a petty little bitch who's coping and seething. Despite being way too old for this shit. Todays Wolverine doesn't lean as heavily into this, and Jean is written as if there's a greater than 0% chance of her making him her bad decision for a night, but back then, I just found the shit intolerable. Guess I hated simps before the world was used.
But you're right about Cyclops- he's boring. I was a Gambit fan. Thank God they killed him in '97- better him dead than going down that road over Rogue with Magneto.

I was asking him about his reasons and he quickly & aggressively stated that the fkking taxes in the nordic nations were absurdly high. That it was basically slavery. I then asked about how taxation was in Japan. At this point, he responded by sending me a scan of his taxation forms from the nordic nation & Japan.
This was a long time ago so I don't remember exactly what the values were, nor do I have the scans, but I do remember that the taxation was *MUCH* higher in the nordic nation than in Japan, though I expected them to be roughly the same. This dude moved from the nordic nations to Japan for LOWER TAXATION and it worked. He was right. That's how retardedly high taxation is there. TFM is right.
